Guest lecture – Lilian Fu

In the upcoming Tuesday, we have invited Animation Director Lilian Fu from London to share her story about directing in animation, experience sharing and useful career advice about animation. The talk is being held on 12 Apr 2016 in the same venue M6094 Future Cinema Studio at usual time 5:00pm.

Abstract:
Suppose you know After Effects, Maya, Frame by frame hand drawn, or you are really good at stop-motion, you may still find it hard to make advance of your animated film. ‘This talk will give you an overall insight from a personal perspective of story-telling and directing in animation by Lilian Fu, who has been working as animation director in London for several years. You will find this talk useful with some career advice and some interesting experience sharing.’

About the Speaker:
Since graduating from the School of Creative Media in City University of Hong Kong in 2008, Lilian Fu has been an active animator with 10 years animating experience behind her. She has won several awards in competitions and international film festivals including IFVA. Her latest documentary animation was selected for various festivals including LIDF, BIG SKY Documentary Film Festival 2013 and It’s All True –International Documentary Film Festival 2012. She has had two short films commissioned for television broadcast by RTHK.

After graduates from the animation directing MA at the National Film and Television School, she is keen to build on her experience through working on feature, television and commercial animation.
